As I'm currently using an older version of Kindle for PC, I've had no issues with Calibre, a popular e-book management software. However, I was unaware of the compatibility issues that arise when using the new Kindle for PC version.

For those who prefer not to update their Kindle for PC software, it's possible to revert back to version 1.17. This can be done by uninstalling the current version, then reinstalling the older version from a link provided online.

It remains unclear how long Amazon will continue to support these older versions or make them available for download. However, if you're looking for an alternative solution, there are now Calibre plug-ins available that can handle KFX files.
